These are poems from my youth, written from the time I was a geeky teenager to a 20-something, single parent.  I went from not knowing anything about love to being in love, losing it and then reinventing myself to accept love again. 

All women have gone through their share of love and heartbreak and that's why I've dedicated this book to all of us.  Join me in sharing the pain of yesterdays and hopes for tomorrows.

Inner peace

Comfort my troubled soul

Help me to overcome

The pain surrounding me

Rid me of uncertainties

And bitterness

That follows me

Each hour of every day

Let me find solitude

In our gentle mercy

Away from the darkness

That allows no light to seep in

Surrounded by hundreds

But none to call friend

I welcome you with open arms

Do not disappoint one

Who needs you desperately

Enter

And let your rays

Envelop me

Totally

Completely

Until we are one.
