What Really Happens After Liposuction Surgery
Book tells "true" story of physical and emotional changes of this cosmetic surgery procedure.

LANHAM, MD - Some people have thought about undergoing liposuction, and some even have it listed as a long-term goal. Kathyne Jackson did it and revealed her experiences with the procedure in her tell-all book, Dear Diary: What My Doctor Never Told Me About Liposuction (available through kjacksonbooks.com). She described her daily ordeal, and the mental and physical anguish she endured, that neither her doctor nor books prepared her for beforehand. She even dumped a guy as the inches decreased and her confidence grew.

An up-close-and-personal look at one patient's experience with liposuction, from choosing her doctor to six months later. Her book answers questions those considering surgery long to know. What will my body look like after liposuction? How much actual pain and bleeding is there? Can I really go back to work three days later? Jackson touches on all these issues and gives a detailed account of her entire experience.

"Writing this book has been a very essential part of my recovery. Most of my time was spent alone with my thoughts and fears since I told no one I was doing this. Putting my own experiences down on paper was an emotional lifeline for me. I held nothing back. Now, as I look at the before and after photographs of me shrinking from size 22 to 16 that are included in the book, I'm amazed at what I went through to achieve my present look,” Jackson said.

"Cosmetic Surgery is no longer a secret taboo. You just have to pick up a magazine to read about the latest celebrity, or turn on your television to see the newest makeover. We all have something we want to change, even dreamed about it. I'm no different. I want my words to help others thinking about this procedure to know the truth so they will enter with their eyes wide open."

Whether you've ever considered cosmetic surgery, or know of someone who has, this is a MUST READ! An explicit no-holds-barred guide for those who have or are thinking about this cosmetic procedure. The book aids the patient through the process.

Kathyne L. Jackson is a freelanced writer, a published poetess, songwriter, and mystery novelist. She loves to travel and is the owner of a small vending business. She lives in Maryland with her two children and is working on the first in a series of mystery novels.

BIO:

Kathyne L. Jackson loves discussing her experience with liposuction surgery, so much so she published a diary of her eye-opening experience. Her book is entitled, "Dear Diary: What My Doctor Never Told Me About Liposuction" (AuthorHouseTM, May 2003). This is one woman who is inspired to tell what happened to her so others will know exactly what to expect when and if they have the procedure. She'll reveal the hidden truths doctors overlook and sometimes fail to mention. She’ll tell how millions are not prepared for the intense post-op anguish. She’ll give you five questions every cosmetic surgery candidate should ask.

She has been interviewed by many radio personalities, including Greg Carter, Les in the Morning, Don Zukowski on the Weekend, Dr. Alvin Augustus Jones, The Donna Seebo Show, Tom Bernard, and The P.A. Bennett Show, and has been profiled in Heart & Soul Magazine. She is one media-savvy guest.

She is presently working on the first in a series of mysteries involving a group of teenaged detectives.  Divorced with two kids, she lives with two cats in Lanham, MD.
